Looking for a cute DIY Christmas craft to make? In this post, I’m showing you how to make a super cute Christmas countdown sign that your family will love!

Believe it or not, Christmas is getting really close! Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, but I’m always so sad how fast the day goes by.

I love extending the holiday to last the whole month with things like advent calendars, doing fun Christmas things all month, and counting down the days til Christmas.

This Christmas countdown DIY sign was super easy to make and will be fun to update and count down to Christmas!

Christmas Countdown DIY Sign

Supplies Needed:

Thick plywood or scrap piece of wood – 22″ x 16″

Dark walnut stain

Polyurethane sealer

Christmas ribbon

Scrapbooking number stickers with numbers 1 -25 or use your Cricut to create a vinyl of the numbers in order

Small Christmas round garland – could use an ornament

This is what I found:

25 small nails

2 D ring picture hangers with screws (if you wish to hang it on the wall)

2 cheap paintbrushes (I love the chip paint brushes for staining and sealing)

Tools:

Screwdriver – if you wish to hang it on the wall

Hammer

Needle nose pliers – helps you hold nail while hammering

Hot glue gun – (Optional: to put the ribbon on)

Directions:

Stain your piece of wood.
Create your Cricut vinyl or use scrapbook stickers to place your stickers on the wood in a tree shape.
- Grab the image here and upload to your Cricut Design Space.
Seal over the numbers.
Screw picture hangers on the back.
Add a Christmas ribbon.
Nail a small nail above each number.
Hang up or place on a table and count down the days til Christmas!

I love how easy it is to move the little garland to each day!

This Christmas countdown DIY sign was super simple to make and fun to enjoy Christmas all month!

You could add more ribbon, garland, or decorations to your sign if you’d like! I plan to add fake snow under mine.
