Looking for a cute DIY Christmas craft to hold all of your Christmas cards? In this post, I’m showing you how to make a DIY Merry Mail Christmas Card Holder!

Christmas will be here soon, and one thing I have always wanted to do better was to display all the pretty Christmas cards and pictures we get.

They usually get stuck in a pile on our kitchen table and can’t be seen. I love looking at the pretty cards and pictures friends and family send.

So, I made a DIY Christmas card holder. And I can display them all on a pretty display!

I’ll show you how I made this Merry Mail DIY Christmas card holder!

Merry Mail DIY Christmas Card Holder

Supplies Needed:

Thick plywood or scrap wood – 22″ X 16″ (doesn’t have to be exact)

Dark walnut stain

Polyurethane sealer

Merry Mail vinyl – make with Cricut or use scrapbook stickers (You could always just put some Christmas greenery instead if you don’t have a Cricut)

Christmas baker’s twine

Small clothespins

2 D ring picture hangers with screws

Christmas ribbon

Tools:

Scissors

Staple gun

Hot glue gun

*I love using our air staple gun, but a regular staple gun should be fine.

Directions:

Stain your wood.
Make your Merry Mail sticker with Cricut Design Space and place on wood with transfer tape.
- Or, use scrapbook sticker letters
- Or, hot glue Christmas greenery (you would want to seal first in this case)
Seal the wood over your sticker/vinyl and let dry.
Add baker’s twine by stapling on the back of the sign, then wrapping tightly around the front, and staple on the back of the other side.
Continue wrapping twine all the way down the sign.
Add picture hangers to the back if you plan to hang the sign.
Tie a Christmas ribbon and hot glue on sign.
Add clothespins.

You can tuck the Christmas cards behind the twine and clip some in front, too. So, this DIY Christmas card holder will really hold quite a few cards and photos.
