It seems too good to be true, so I did some research and this is what I found.

How to Earn Cash Back Online Shopping with Rakuten
Being a frugal person, I am always looking for ways to save more money. And when there’s an option to earn cash back, that’s even better!
I first learned about earning cash back when shopping by using the Ibotta app. You can earn cash back from everyday purchases, like groceries.

Then, I learned about Rakuten (formerly called Ebates) and now I’m hooked on Rakuten too!
How Rakuten works:
Rakuten is a similar idea to Ibotta. You click through the Rakuten link to make purchases, and cash back will be added to your account.
You can see the percentage of cash back you will earn, before you place your order. If you also have the Ibotta app, you may want to see if they have the same link and compare the percentages to get the most cash back.
You can add the Rakuten Chrome extension to your browser to be notified of cash back offers when you are shopping online. Using this, you won’t ever miss a cash back deal! It makes it so simple.
Rakuten also has a mobile app so you can get cash back on the go!
Using Rakuten to get cash back:
1. Click here to go to Rakuten.com
2. Search the available offers.
4. Click the link to go to a retailer’s website and make your purchase.
5. See the cash back added to your Rakuten account.
6. Keep shopping through your Rakuten link to earn more cash back.
7. Get paid with a check or through PayPal!
Pro Tip: Use the browser extension!
When you download and use the Rakuten browser extension, you can shop like normal and anytime you are on a website that offers cash back, you will be instantly notified.
This makes it so easy to shop and save! You don’t have to think about going through the Rakuten website. Just click the pop up to apply the cash back, and when you check out the cash back will be added to your account.
I love shopping this way!
