I love to make a large amount of shredded chicken, use some for dinner, and freeze the rest in portions for other meals.

This one is great to make in bulk, and freeze in portions for your family size, to have on hand for several different meals!

Here’s how to make shredded chicken for the freezer:

Boil or cook chicken in a slow cooker (your favorite cuts or what you have on hand – I usually use chicken breasts), then shred with forks or your mixer (makes it so much easier and quicker!)

Cooked shredded chicken is good for 3-4 days in the fridge.

Can you freeze cooked shredded chicken?

Yes!
