Check out this list of fun and free things to do on a no spend weekend. Find free activities you can do when you have no money!

Have you heard of a no spend challenge? Let’s answer that first.

What is a no spend challenge or no spend weekend?

The idea is that you spend zero dollars for a determined period of time, like a weekend or a whole week. Some even go for a whole month!

During this no spend time, you can only do free activities. In the end, you will have saved quite a bit of money.

I was interested in this idea, and wanted to try it out for myself. I’m always looking for new ways to save more money!

So, I came up with a list of things to do during this no spend weekend. What do you think? Are you up for a no spend weekend challenge?

67 Free Things To Do On A No Spend Weekend

Try a no spend challenge with these fun and free things to do on a no spend weekend.

How does the No Spend Weekend Challenge work?

First, we need to schedule the no spend weekend. Look in your planner, and find a weekend that works for you.

Now that you have a date for your no spend weekend, we need a few rules.

Rule #1: Don’t buy in preparation for the no spend weekend.

If you plan a no spend weekend, and then buy things to get ready for it, that defeats the purpose. Don’t stock up on food or anything to get through the weekend.

Rule #2: Keep up with your savings.

To know how much you are saving by having a no spend weekend, you will need some way of keeping up with your savings. There are a few ways to do this.

You can look at last weekend’s spending, add it all up, and figure that is how much you will save.

Or, you can keep track of everything you were tempted to buy or spend money on during your no spend weekend. The total would be the amount saved.

Rule #3: Make your own rules!

Each family is different, and your rules will be different, too. Decide as a family what your rules are. Can you spend money if you need gas in the car, or no?

Ok, now we have an idea of how the no spend weekend will work. Let’s get to some fun, free things to do during your no spend weekend! I think you will love these fun activities and the money you can save!
