How to Price Wood Crafts to Sell
When pricing wood crafts, think about more than just the wood. Make sure to include:
- materials like wood, stain, paint, hooks, or vinyl
- packaging or display supplies
- your time
- booth fees or selling fees
- a little profit so the project is worth making again
A simple way to start is to add up your material cost, estimate your time, and then compare your final price to similar handmade items in your area. Personalized wood crafts can usually be priced a little higher.
Look around for scrap wood to get started, and get creative with what you have on hand. Once you make a small collection, post the items on Facebook, Etsy, or set up at a craft show!
