My 40 Favorite Things to Buy at Aldi

These are my favorite things to buy at Aldi every week — affordable groceries, freezer staples, and pantry items that help stretch your food budget. Perfect if you’re trying to save money on groceries or shop smarter at Aldi.

First, a few quick notes about Aldi:

  1. The stores aren’t huge or overwhelming. Aldi has private label brands and usually only one variety of each product. This makes shopping super quick and easy.
  2. Since Aldi has private label brands, they don’t accept coupons. But the prices are so great already.
  3. You need to take your own bags and have a quarter to get a cart. (Helps keep the prices low.)
  4. You can use the Fetch Rewards app to get points towards free gift cards by scanning your receipt. Get the app here and use code: 33UY1 for 2000 bonus points.

I love their low carb protein bars, breakfast cereal, eggs, yogurt, decaf coffee, tissues, toilet paper (the ultra soft one – the others are not that great), organic peanut butter, fresh veggies, boneless chicken breast (they are nicely trimmed with no hidden gobs of fat underneath and nice sized breasts – not the giant, tough ones you find in other stores when they have a sale), raisin bread…..that’s off the top of my head. I go to Aldi’s first. If I can’t fins what I need (and that can happen often), I go to another local market. Definitely worth the trip!
