If you want to pay off your debt faster, making extra money can really help. There are a lot of ways to make extra cash to pay off debt, too!

Some of these side job ideas you can do from home, part time, seasonally, or in your free time. Find something you can do to make extra money, and pay off your debt faster!

When you want to pay off your debt fast, making side money can push you towards being debt free a lot faster. Just make sure all the extra cash you make goes towards your debt.

We have worked many side jobs, and that is what helped us pay off our home and land so much faster! We have made and sold crafts at craft shows, done renovation jobs for family and friends, fixed cars, painted furniture, and many other jobs to make extra money to put towards paying off debt.

It can make a huge difference, and you can make much faster progress! Here are some side job ideas you might try to pay off debt faster.

Try these side job ideas to pay off debt faster:

1. Make and sell crafts

If you are crafty, try making handmade goods to sell at craft fairs, on Facebook, or Etsy. This can be a fun way to make extra money and be creative!

2. Paint and sell furniture

If you enjoy repurposing furniture, find old pieces at yard sales or consignment stores and fix them up with new paint and hardware and sell them. This is something I did often, and really enjoyed!

3. Clean houses

Set up a part time cleaning service to clean houses or business spaces. You could set up a recurring cleaning service once a week, or a couple times a month for a steady part time income.

4. Landscape services

Are you good at landscaping? Offer to plant flowers, mulch, mow, or other landscape services in your area. You can make yard signs or advertise online.

5. Babysit

Offer childcare to friends, family, and neighbors for a great part time income.

6. Dog sit

Set up a dog-sitting business and advertise online or on a site like Rover.com.

7. House sit

Set up a house-sitting business and watch over people’s homes when they go out of town. I have a few friends that do this and make great money! You may also be caring for animals, or doing light maintenance.

8. Walk dogs for busy neighbors

If you are available during the day, offer to walk your neighbors dogs and let them out when they are at work all day. This can be a fun way to get some exercise, too.

9. Cook meals for people

Do you love to cook? Set up a meal service to offer ready to go meals for busy families that want to eat great, homemade meals but don’t have the time to cook. You could deliver or offer a quick pickup service.

10. Do home repair and renovation jobs

Are you handy? Offer to do repair and renovation jobs for people based on your skills and certifications.

11. Offer interior design and decorating services

Do you have an eye for design? Set up a part time design and decorating service to help people decorate and furnish their homes.

12. Buy and sell items on eBay

Do you love to clearance hunt? Try finding great clearance items, and reselling them on eBay.

13. Write an eBook

Do you have an online presence? Try writing an eBook to sell on your own site, or on Amazon.

There are so many direct sale companies! Just make sure you really love and believe in what you are selling, and check the startup costs before joining.

My husband is great at working on cars, and has helped save people a lot of money by fixing their cars. And he makes great money, too!

Are you great with technology and social media? Learn how to become a virtual assistant to a blogger or online business owner. You may help with their website, social media, SEO, or other online work.
